What Is MLM / Network Marketing?
What is it? Network Marketing, as it is called today, has been around since the 1950's. Network Marketing originally know as MultiLevel Marketing (MLM) is probably one of the most misunderstood concepts in the world today today.
In Network Marketing, companies move products through a group of independent distributors who buy wholesale, sell retail, and sponsor other people to do the same. For your efforts, you can earn overrides on multilevels of people in your organization.
Often mistaken for pyramid schemes, which are illegal and move no products into the marketplace, Network Marketing allows average people to earn above average incomes. It is a fact that many people are earning a few hundred dollars a month, sometimes tens of thousands of dollars a month, or even earn in excess of a hundred thousand dollars or more. The only limit of what you can earn is heavily depending upon your own abilities and the Network Marketing (MLM) company you are a distributor for.
What's so attractive about this business is that there is no prejudice. Anybody over 18 can prosper and succeed. No color, race, gender, age, employment or educational background can stop you. All you have to do is be open-minded and follow the simple steps laid out by your company. You have unlimited earning potential. There is no ceiling. Simple, Fun, Money are three words that can be associated with the most powerful marketing method to distribute products in the 1990's and beyond. personal growth.., along with financial freedom are two of the things you can expect from Network Marketing.
All companies have their advertising budgets. Non MLM companies pay literally millions of dollars for TV, glossy paper and other forms of media advertising to promote their goods to consumers. MLM companies have their advertisement budgets too, but they pay those dollars in commissions and override bonuses to those who refer customers to MLM company.
For instance, you refer Tom to the company and Tom refers Nicole. Nicole will not have been referred unless you referred Tom. So the MLM company pays you on both, Tom's and Nicole's purchase. It is much as a family tree where as a result of your efforts a family multiplies and develops generation after generation, (level after level) and you receive the reward when they purchase products. These multiple generations (levels) is where term "Multi-level" comes from.
Although thousands of people have become wealthy in a relatively short time, due to the power of multiplication, MLM is not a "get-rich-quick" business. It is a 'GET-RICH-SLOW" business for most people. (Is Alan Bond and Mr. Scase doing it?)
It takes a lot of hard work, patience, a strong desire to succeed and a NEVER-NEVER-QUIT attitude. No business is easy and MLM is certainly no exception.
